The NX-P500 is a small, light and powerful UHF digital transceiver with mixed mode capability allowing for digital and analog communications for interoperability. This promotes a simple method for transitioning to digital operations at your own pace. Ideal for business, retail, hospitality, education and the restaurant industry. The 2 watt digital portable has KENWOOD audio, digital AMBE+2 for excellent voice quality and enhanced coverage, and a powerful 750 mW speaker, assuring crisp, clear voice communications, even in noisy environments. A second PTT (push-to-talk) lets users toggle between analog and digital operation in the same radio. This allows users to migrate at their own pace, with one radio at a time, a work group, or their entire fleet of radios.

The NX-P500 has a sturdy, polycarbonate body and uses a lithium ion battery pack. A battery saver function improves battery life. Frequency range is 450 MHz to 470 MHz. A button lock/super lock prevents accidental changes to transceiver settings. Digital encryption and analog scrambling mask voice messages for privacy. A large, bright, back lit eight segment display and seven-LED status indicator make at-a-glance visual checks easy.
